From deepwater platforms in Brazil to oilfields in the Algerian desert, CIS is committed to providing appropriate solutions to its oil clients in a safe, sustainable and cost-effective manner, while respecting the local environment and the highest ethical standards.

Offshore operations

The distance from dry land, extreme weather conditions and limited physical space make offshore operations particularly difficult.  When hundreds of people live and work on an offshore base, the isolation, intense workload and lack of privacy can make living conditions complicated if proper organisation and strict safety rules are not applied at all times. Thanks to their experience and expertise, CIS’ offshore teams are capable of providing our clients high-quality services, delivered safely and under the best conditions possible. Our services are not limited to offshore sites alone: we also provide logistics and supply solutions, as well as services throughout the towing of offshore units from the shipyards to their final destination.

Occupational safety: aiming for zero LTIs

Oil and gas companies are subject to a number of risks, which makes safety their major concern. We make a point of respecting and integrating the security procedures put in place by our clients, so that they can manage their operations safely and reliably. Each new employee at CIS receives training on the occupational safety rules that must be respected and is made aware of the risks associated with their functions. CIS has been present in the oil sector in Chad since 1999 and in 2020, we celebrated 17 years without an LTI (lost time injury).

Ensuring business continuity

Our oil and gas clients strive to maintain uninterrupted operations and to extend the life of their sites to maximise profitability. In order to meet these objectives, CIS provides an extremely flexible service and is capable of adapting quickly, meaning we can consistently meet the ever-changing needs of our customers.

Our Accommodation Management System enables us to keep track of arrivals and departures in real time, helping us to optimise our occupancy rate. Connections with transport and travel schedules are also set up to centralise all of the necessary information.

Cutting costs to increase our competitiveness

Against a backdrop of pressure on oil and gas prices, our clients need to reduce their expenditure. CIS' expertise enables us to deliver high-quality services at the best price. The Menu Engineering tool under our Supply Management System makes it possible to generate adapted recipes and menus, thus helping to reduce costs and manage stock levels.

Protecting our environment

Now more than ever, the oil and gas industry must face the twin challenges of satisfying our energy needs and protecting the environment. We deliver solutions that respect the environment, such as water treatment (from water management to water purification), waste management (from collection to transport, including selective sorting, treatment and incineration), landscaping (maintenance of green spaces) and the implementation of energy production systems (wind or solar) for our camps.

In Chad, for example, we have implemented a system for collecting used cooking oil, which is then transferred to local processing centres.

Transparency in our activities

CIS has created an Ethics Charter, which defines the core rules to be respected by all parties. It is essential that each member of our Group acts according to and shares the same values of transparency, integrity, responsibility and exemplarity, both individually and collectively. CIS also adheres to the "Middlenext Anti-Corruption Code of Conduct”, which aims to promote business ethics. In Brazil, where the Group has operations on over 26 offshore platforms, CIS was awarded the TRACE certificate for anti-corruption compliance.
