On the occasion of the International Day of Disabled Persons, celebrated on 3 December every year since 1992 at the initiative of the United Nations (UN), and as part of its corporate social responsibility, CIS wishes to raise awareness among its teams on the theme of disability.
The aim is to promote understanding of disability issues and mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well-being of people with disabilities.
As part of this initiative, a poster campaign is being distributed to all the Group's subsidiaries in their offices and at their operating sites, highlighting a number of key figures:
1.3 billion people in the world are disabled, i.e. 15% of the world's population;
80% of disabilities are invisible.
"At CIS, we are committed to creating an inclusive working environment, where everyone's talents, regardless of their physical or mental abilities, are valued and encouraged to reach their full potential". Yannick Morillon, CEO CIS Group
Our teams around the world also took part in a quiz to test their knowledge of the subject.
Finally, the teams at the Group's head office in Marseille are taking part in an awareness-raising training course on the theme of "Disability, changing the way we look at differences", with the aim of getting our employees involved in disability issues in the workplace and informing them about the various measures in place to facilitate the professional integration and inclusion of people with disabilities.
