For several years, CIS has been supporting various orphanages in Africa.
In Chad, to celebrate the end of the year, our subsidiary CIS Tchad donated trousers and foodstuffs to the Dieu Bénit orphanage in N'Djaména. The children and Sefora, the head of the orphanage, warmly welcomed the CIS Chad teams with songs and dances as a token of their thanks.
In Burkina Faso, CIS continues its commitment to early childhood by fully funding the training of a nursery assistant at the Association de Soutien aux Enfants et Femmes Vulnérables (ASFEV). The orphanage recently took in Sandra, aged 4 months, who was found abandoned in Saaba, a district of Ouagadougou. Sandra has now been entrusted with a new start. CIS is also Aziz's sponsor and has financed his two operations to rebuild his digestive system. While waiting for his last operation and the warmth of a home, Aziz is being looked after by Pauline, the orphanage manager.
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, CIS has been supporting the ARED (Association pour la Récupération des Enfants Défavorisés) orphanage, located near the town of Muanda, since 2019. It was founded in 2012 and funded by our client Perenco. At the end of the year, our Congolese subsidiary donated food for the 48 children living at the orphanage.
