Sales steady over the first nine months
at constant currency
A number of recent commercial successes
CIS reported €56.7 million in revenue for the 2018 third quarter at constant currency. While narrowing significantly, currency effects continued to adversely impact sales which on a reported basis amounted to €54.0 million.
Growth in the period was largely driven by Eurasia (Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia) and Africa (Mauritania, DR of Congo, Chad) though without fully offsetting the non-renewal of a significant contract in North Africa.
For the year's first nine months, revenue amounted to €187.7 million at constant currency, largely steady compared with one year earlier. On a reported basis, nine month revenue was €169.3 million.
Excellent commercial performances with order intake totalling US$243 million in the third quarter
CIS delivered an excellent commercial performance with the signature of 31 contracts in the third quarter. This performance was all the more remarkable when considering that contracts were signed in 14 different countries. Total order intake (new contracts and renewals) came to US$243 million and will gradually start to produce its full effects in the last quarter of this year.
In addition, the Group is currently responding to a number of consultations expected to fuel a rebound in activity starting in 2019.
