A renewed global commitment

On September 20, 2025, millions of volunteers in more than 190 countries mobilized for World Clean Up Day 2025, an international day of action in the fight against pollution and litter. This global initiative, now part of the official United Nations calendar, aims to sustainably reduce the environmental impact of human activities, promote recycling, and encourage collective awareness.

True to its commitments to social and environmental responsibility, the CIS Group renewed its participation. Following the success of the 2024 edition, the company once again rallied its employees, subsidiaries, and partners around concrete and visible actions, demonstrating its commitment to being a sustainable player in environmental preservation.

Mobilization at the Marseille headquarters: teams working together for the environment

In Marseille, each department at the head office formed a team to organize a waste collection drive in the area surrounding the headquarters. This internal mobilization helped to strengthen team spirit while taking concrete action for a cleaner environment.

In partnership with TchaoMégot, a specialist in recycling, cigarette butts collected were sorted and cleaned. Transformed into eco-designed insulation or textile padding, they demonstrate that innovative waste management can generate sustainable value.

2025 results: In total, the head office teams collected 55.6 kg of waste and recovered 6 liters of cigarette butts, which were sent for recycling.

These results confirm the CIS Group’s conviction that every action counts in the fight against pollution and the preservation of natural resources.

Actions by international subsidiaries: local impact for a global goal

Beyond the head office, CIS Group subsidiaries actively participated in World Clean Up Day 2025, adapting their actions to local contexts.

Mozambique

The CIS Balama team distinguished itself through its involvement in waste collection. By promoting values such as sustainability, team spirit, and health in the workplace, employees not only cleaned up their environment, but also participated in an awareness session on the importance of a clean and safe living environment.

Kazakhstan

CAC Kazakhstan employees organized several activities, including cleaning up around the factory and residential camp, as well as discussions with employees on ecology and sustainable development. The day helped raise awareness and embed an environmental culture within the teams.

Democratic Republic of Congo

CSS successfully mobilized more than 200 volunteers, including employees, scouts, and local associations supervised by our client. The operation was accompanied by a project to create a waste management, sorting, and recycling site for the municipality. This is a step toward more sustainable and organized waste management at the local level.

Guinea

WELHY-CIS organized collections at the Training Center in Canga, as well as in two camps. A total of 160 kg of waste was collected in two days.

These initiatives show that, regardless of differences in context, collective action remains a powerful lever for raising awareness and protecting the environment.
