Organising catering services on offshore platforms must take into account the distance from the coast, the sometimes extreme weather conditions, and the limited physical space on board. Our teams must also strictly follow our client’s safety rules. Once these criteria are met, CIS Group guarantees uninterrupted operational continuity, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. On an offshore platform, the working day is at least 12 hours long, and several hundred people are together in a confined space. The working conditions on board also put workers’ mental health to the test. For this reason, areas for recreation and relaxation are provided to ensure residents’ well-being. Modern platforms are like floating cities, with facilities designed to make sure residents are comfortable. To cover ship chandling services, platforms are equipped with a mooring system and a helipad. The largest helipads can accommodate helicopters that can carry up to 20 people.
