In France, people are not familiar with the catering business. It takes human and technical skills, with a healthy dose of passion, determination and resilience. But once you’ve had a taste of it, it brings solid career opportunities.
Our talent, a need and an asset.
CIS Group’s two-fold challenge is to offer clear, structured and coherent career paths that allow employees to grow on their career path while meeting Company needs.
In 2024, CIS Group’s employee loyalty rate was 96%.
Our talent development, management and loyalty policy is structured around three main groups:
NEW GENERATION: training tomorrow’s managers and executives
PILLARS: developing the expertise of today’s key managers
EXPERTS: facilitating the transmission of knowledge and co-building tools
To strengthen skills and grow
Training is essential for developing and refining technical skills, adapting to changes in the profession and enabling our employees to gain a feeling of fulfilment in their day-to-day work. In 2024, 255,772 hours of training were delivered at CIS Group, compared to 152,035 in 2023.
Since 2019, CIS Group has been working in partnership with the Lycée Hôtelier in Marseille. This initiative aims to:
– Identify and train certain key people within CIS, particularly in management techniques in the accommodation and catering sectors;
– Detect young talent from the school and offer them career opportunities in line with the Group’s needs.
– Strengthen the ties between the public and private sectors through experience sharing and the development of common teaching materials.
Every year, several chefs working at our sites attend a one-week certification course. The teams cover topics such as the development of culinary techniques, including those specific to world cuisines, food safety and kitchen staff management. In 2023, Yannick Morillon, Chief Executive Officer of CIS, sponsored a post-secondary class of students at the Lycée Hôtelier in Marseille. As a result of this initiative, work-based training programmes have been signed for our operating sites.
careers with MyCIS
In 2023, CIS Group launched MyCIS. This global human resources management tool embodies our desire to develop and enhance human capital.
MyCIS is structured into modules, each dedicated to one of the pillars of our human resources (HR) policy: HR administrative management, recruitment, career management, performance evaluation, and training management.
With MyCIS, CIS Group’s human resources policy emphasises career management and individualised support at each stage of the professional journey.
Quality of life at work
A healthy mind in a healthy body. We give importance to promoting a healthy, balanced and fulfilling lifestyle for everyone.
We are attentive to the challenges faced by our employees, who work in isolated, difficult or extreme environments.
Through its “Health4you” nutrition programme, CIS Group promotes a healthy, balanced diet.
At the same time, it provides nutritional advice to prevent health issues such as cardiovascular disease and obesity. Most remote sites have sports facilities or a gym.
Through its health and well-being policy, CIS Group organises awareness actions and initiatives relating to health, a balanced diet and an active lifestyle.
Zero accident performance for all
Our zero accident occupational health and safety policy aims to guarantee safe working conditions for our employees.
It combines the following actions:
– Identifying and analysing causes;
– Implementing improvement and prevention measures;
– Raising awareness and training staff.
Each new employee takes an occupational safety induction and training programme. They learn about the risks inherent to their work activity.
At the same time, each employee has a duty to actively participate in improving occupational safety to prevent any accident or material damage by:
– identifying, assessing and managing risks so that tasks are performed in the utmost safety;
– promoting and disseminating safety culture by supporting measures to improve and inform people about safety;
– strictly applying procedures for responses to emergency situations;
– stopping any task or activity that could generate an unacceptable threat to personal health and safety.
To promote diversity and local content
CIS Group is against all forms of discrimination. This includes gender, nationality, ethnic origin or nationality, caste, age, physical condition, disability, religion, political or philosophical opinions, labour union membership, sexual orientation, or other distinctive attributes. CIS Group also has a policy to prioritise recruitment and training as close as possible to its operations. This demonstrates its commitment to local economic and social development. Employees are given training, including degree programmes.
Meanwhile, our subsidiaries encourage the transfer of skills from expatriate employees to local employees. Through this proactive policy, in 2024 CIS Group will have a local employment rate of 99%.
