Masterclass “Ocean Fresco” to Raise Awareness of the Ocean’s Role and Conservation

At the headquarters of CIS France in Marseille, a “Ocean Fresco” Masterclass was held at the end of May. Led by an environmental engineer and specialized trainer, this interactive conference allowed participants to understand the complexity of the environmental, social, and economic interconnections related to the ocean’s role and how each of us can take action to preserve this vital resource.

At the corporate level, efforts are being explored to combat overfishing, integrate sustainable practices into our menus, prioritize local, seasonal, and short-circuit products whenever possible, and support marine protected areas.

Biodiversity Awareness Kit to Educate Our Operational Teams

The CSR department has launched an awareness kit highlighting the interdependencies with ecosystem services (benefits provided free of charge by natural ecosystems), the consequences of biodiversity loss, and the importance of taking action to preserve ecosystems for food security, carbon sequestration, health, well-being, and quality of life.

Biodiversity awareness sessions have helped our operational teams understand the importance of protecting marine and terrestrial resources, no matter where they are in the world.

For the company, addressing biodiversity challenges is a source of innovation and team engagement. These initiatives reflect the CIS Group’s commitment to being a responsible player and actively contributing to environmental preservation.

The next awareness sessions this year will focus on the circular economy and water, building a strong foundation of knowledge on sustainable development for all our employees.
