Looking back at QWLW 2026: a commitment to workplace well-being
Published on 30/06/2026
Quality of life and working conditions are no longer secondary topics for businesses. They have become direct drivers of performance, engagement and prevention. In demanding sectors such as energy, oil and gas, mining and institutional environments, this issue is even more strategic: good living and working conditions contribute to team safety, operational continuity and employee retention.
As part of Quality of Life and Working Conditions Week (QVCT), held from 15 to 19 June 2026, CIS Group headquarters in Marseille wanted to reaffirm a strong conviction: employee well-being lies at the heart of its commitments. As a specialist in remote site management in remote environments, we believe that quality of life at work is both an operational requirement and a human commitment.
What does QVCT mean for companies?
QVCT covers several practical dimensions: physical health, mental health, prevention of occupational risks, work organisation, work-life balance, and the quality of teamwork.
This topic is particularly important in professions exposed to strong constraints. In remote environments, teams may face demanding schedules, geographical isolation, camp life proximity and challenging climate conditions. In this context, acting on the prevention of psychosocial risks, reducing sedentary behaviour, preventing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and managing stress is essential.
According to INRS, MSDs are the leading cause of recognised occupational diseases in France, while mental health at work is now identified as a major prevention priority across organisations [1]. ANACT also points out that QVCT is a lever for dialogue, prevention and collective efficiency [2].
A week dedicated to prevention, well-being and team spirit
For the 2026 edition, CIS Group headquarters in Marseille offered employees a programme focused on four major themes:
– preventing psychosocial risks;
– preventing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs);
– stress management;
– reducing sedentary behaviour.
In collaboration with General Management, several key activities were organised throughout the week.
Raising awareness about mental health: an essential first step
On Monday, 15 June, the week began with a mandatory internal mental health awareness session. This exchange highlighted the fact that mental health is a cornerstone of overall well-being and quality of life at work. Better understanding mental health disorders helps to prevent them more effectively, identify early warning signs and better support affected individuals, both in the workplace and in personal life. In multisite organisations or companies operating in remote areas, this ability to remain attentive and supportive is particularly important.
Preventing physical strain through simple and accessible practices
On Tuesday, 16 June, employees were invited to take part in a group Do-In self-massage workshop, led by Oliteam, with two available sessions. This practice is part of a practical prevention approach aimed at reducing muscular tension, relieving stress and helping people reconnect with their bodies. On Thursday, 18 June, the programme continued with a yoga class open to everyone, alongside a Yin Yoga session focused on deep stretching. These activities helped participants work on mobility, breathing, muscular relaxation and mental release.
Encouraging movement in daily routines
On Friday, 19 June, a bonus activity focused on walking and physical exercise rounded off the week in a friendly atmosphere. This closing moment reflected a simple idea: combating sedentary habits also means promoting practical and accessible actions that can be integrated into daily life.
Employee well-being at CIS: a priority at headquarters and in the field
At CIS Group, workplace well-being is not limited to one awareness week at headquarters. It is part of a broader reflection on living conditions in remote environments across all the countries where the Group operates. In the sectors where we work, remote sites are not just accommodation facilities. They are real living spaces, where service quality has a direct impact on comfort, recovery and employee balance. The quality of accommodation, catering, shared spaces, associated services, maintenance of facilities and the organisation of collective life all contribute directly to QVCT. People are at the heart of our model.
This is precisely where CIS Group expertise takes on its full meaning. As a specialist in camp and remote site management, we support our clients through an integrated approach, acting as a true partner. Our mission is to create and maintain functional, safe and appropriate environments tailored to the needs of on-site teams.

A long-term commitment
QVCT Week 2026 created opportunities for discussion, awareness and practical activities around essential issues. But beyond the event itself, it highlights a simple reality: workplace well-being is built over time, through coherent actions adapted to business realities and intervention contexts. Taking care of women and men at work is not a secondary issue. In sectors where operations often take place far from urban centres and under demanding conditions, quality of life at work is not an optional comfort. It is a key factor in prevention, engagement and operational performance.
